How to shorten a URL with a custom alias
Create a free short URL, choose its name and domain, and track clicks. Learn how editing the destination affects a QR code you have already printed.
Choose the address people will see
Paste the full destination URL into your dashboard. Keep the automatically generated alias for a quick share, or pick a readable name for a poster or campaign. For example, yrl.it/summer.menu fits on a café counter card. You can choose yurl.com, yurl.it or yrl.it.
Share a short URL or its QR code
Confirm your email to activate the redirect. Copy the short URL or open its QR preview in the dashboard to download it. If the menu moves, edit the destination in the dashboard. Both the printed QR and the shared URL will open the new address.
Check clicks and expiry
The dashboard shows how many redirects the URL has served. Each Free URL has an expiry date. Check its renewal window before printing materials you plan to use for a long time.
